The Way Home is the game that has been released on Steam, on June 1, 2021.
The atmosphere on this game looks like the work environment which makes the mind of every gamer relax. However, it doesn’t really because eventually, while on the road you will hit some guys accidentally who suddenly appear from nowhere like the wildlife on the road at least once, while you’re driving in peaceful EDM.
You thought the guy whom you hit by your car is dead but actually, they’re pretty much alive instead of being dead, because you had driven the car at the slowest speed and quickly put on your brake before they are being hit. Even so, after that, the law will intervene and will put you imprisoned even if the guys are not hurt simply because you hit a human with your car.
This is the story of The Way Home. The exaggerated ending has a huge possibility that it can happen in real life, this situation will make every gamer think that it’s ridiculous. Even though, both the guy and the law have a bigger aspiration to go home safe and sound, without any traffic or accident but sometimes there are unforeseen event or circumstances occurs like what happened to the guy who is driving home peacefully, but due to the incidents that transpire an accident happened on this storyline.
Traded the Crypto Rum
Because of the strange law, the Republic of River congress think the drunken driver is dangerous, so they made the Prohibition. It seems like a parody of the Prohibition in the States in the past. But, the reasons and background for the legislation are different.
The background of this game in the 2020s. But the council has made regressed laws. Anyway, people still trade moonshine, like the people in the past.
They made the rum named Crypto Rum using blockchain, which makes me think CryptoCurrency. Like CryptoCurrency, the market price of Crypto Rum also changes a lot usually.
Despite the expensive price, people drink, and the protagonist can be the rich who has a supercar and a penthouse, by selling the crypto moonshine, like Al Capone or Gatsby. Of course, everything will go up in smoke if you hit a guy, even if you’re rich and driving the supercar.
Simple, but not simple.
The way home is definitely a casual side scroll game. But the difficulty and the profound background of the world are not simple. It looks like a black comedy game, but the clear message can’t be found. If you want to experience the travel of the weird republic, try it.
