After buying all the Legends with your Apex Legend Currency, you can finally use all of the characters in the game. But before that, make sure to check out our Apex Legend Calculator to see just how much your account is worth with all the Legends you already have! While each Legend can bring something uniquely valuable to a team, there’s really nothing quite as satisfying as coordinating your abilities with others as you vie for total victory. From tank-orientated to flank-reliant compositions, it all comes down to your preferred playstyle and execution. For now, let’s take a look at some of the interesting possibilities that you can create as you synergize Legends with Legends.
The All-Around Squad: Beginner’s Go-To Comp
The all-around squad consists of Bangalore, Lifeline, and Gibraltar. If you and your friends are just starting out in Apex Legends, then this team composition is just the one for you. This combination is the most well-rounded team on this list. You’ve got a tank, a healer, and a damage-dealer. Ultimately, these are the three quintessential types of Legends to have in a team. Moreover, Bangalore, Gibraltar, and Lifeline are among the easier Legends to master, making them great starter picks. This team has a nice mix of both offense and defense paired with the added benefit of survivability. Altogether, this composition is a great choice for both beginners and veterans who prefer to run things by the book in terms of putting up a squad in an FPS game.
The Tricksters: Masters of the Vanishing Act
The tricksters are made up of Mirage, Caustic, and Wraith. If you’re more of a player who prefers to trick, confuse, and be a thorn in the enemy’s side, then this bunch will do the job. Disorienting your enemies in the heat of battle and running circles around them will be easy with this type of team composition. Having a squad like this means that your team will be very difficult to pin down because you have all kinds of ways to flee from perilous situations. While Mirage will set up decoys to confuse enemies, Caustic’sGas Canisters will make it even worse for them as they will be blinded by smoke. Once that’s done, Wraith and Caustic can move in for the kill. With precise timing and team coordination, you can leave your foes blinded, confused, and altogether downed before they even know it.
The Speedsters: Gotta Go Fast
Do you like speed? Do you like ambushing enemies from out of nowhere? Do you like to move it, move it? Then try out this troll composition! The speedsters consist of Pathfinder, Octane, and Wraith. While the damage output for this team isn’t all that great, the travel distance they can traverse is off the charts compared to any other team on this list. Gaining the high ground is key for this type of team, since you have all sorts of ways to transport you and your team to terrains that most players can’t even dream of getting to. With Pathfinder’s Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun, you can easily hunt enemies nearby or get away from them should the situation call for it. Paired with Octane’s Launch Pad and Wraith’s Dimensional Rift, you can easily ambush enemies and back them into a corner.
The Assassins: Locate, Pursue, and Kill
This team has the best synergy out of all the ones on this list. The assassins are made up of Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Wraith. Luckily, you won’t have to spend any Apex Legend currency to get these characters as they are all free right from the get-go. With Wraith’s passive, she can easily warn your team if there’s danger lurking nearby. Once you locate possible threats, it’s easy to start the fight with the use of Bangalore’s Smoke Grenade. After the area is filled with smoke, the use of Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather will let you hunt down enemies easier and quickly dispatch them. The combos you can use with these three Legends makes up for a squad that almost certainly means everyone else’s demise.

Apex Legends is one of the best Battle Royale titles in the gaming world today, thanks to its inherently unique features. Go for Every Gunfight
Go for every gunfight until you get used to the different weapons in the game. There’s no point in hugging in the zone to make it to the top 2 only to instantly die because you don’t know how to properly wield a particular weapon? So, until you get used to each of them, pounce on every opportunity to engage in gunfights in every way you can. This will allow you to get used to subtle nuances such as weapon patterns, spray patterns, reload time, and rates of fire in between shots. Before long, you’ll master these mechanics and you just might surprise yourself with how much you’ve improved.
Mates That Stick Together, Win Together
Apex Legends highly emphasizes teamwork. Thus, avoid the temptation of striking out on your own, away from your team. Splitting up early in the game is a surefire recipe for disaster. Not only are you likely going to be killed, but the chances of your teammates successfully reviving you is significantly lessened you since you’re too far away. From revival attempts right down to its nitty-gritty combat details, Apex Legends is built around coordination and solid teamwork. Trying to be a lone wolf won’t do you any good, and it will just put a huge X on your back and endanger your team.
Poke and Peek
Reloading behind cover will instantly improve your game. Now, this is something that people don’t really do all that much as most people prefer to simply reload out in the open and fight on. This is actually one of the biggest windows for people to take advantage of—you have no bullets to shoot back with! As you familiarize yourself with different weapons, you will get to know just how much firepower they pack. A lot of players forget to do this and they leave themselves vulnerable, not taking cover when they should. You can also wait and see when your enemies reload out in the open because that’s the perfect time to push them. Greenhorn FPS players often forget this tactic due to enemy pressure, so this is something to be aware of that will immediately help you win particularly intense fights.
Manage Your Ammo
Are you the kind of player who likes to hoard tons of ammo for all sorts of weapons? Or maybe you’re the type to pick up every available ceramic shield cell without leaving room for anything else? If you’re rocking a weapon that hits heavy but has a slow fire rate and doesn’t use a lot of miscellaneous ammo (like a shotgun), it’s worth considering not over-stocking on ammo. The chances of you using up all the excess ammo you’ve hoarded in a fight are very, very low. Ammos that you should always keep on reserve are the ones that go quickly—such as bullets for your Spitfire. Managing your ammo wisely will get rid of the excessive clutter in your inventory and keep your items organized.
Revive With Caution
Be careful when reviving your teammates as doing so may lead to you losing your life as well. Let your teammate crawl to a safe place first before attempting the revive them. Make sure that the coast is clear before going in, because enemy squads will most likely be hiding out, just waiting to kill the rest of you. At times, your teammate may be forced to tough it out during head-to-head confrontations. Don’t fret as you can still bring them back to life by recovering their banner within 90 seconds. That being said, it’s best to immediately run for the hills to recover properly.
And that’s about it! Hopefully, we’ve helped you earn a win or two and you’ve also accumulated a good amount of Apex Legend Currency. There are still more updates to come for Apex Legends, and new tactics and tips are sure to follow. Keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming guides!
A beginner’s Guide To Octane, The Adrenaline Junkie of Apex Legends
Octane, real name Octavio Silva, is the first ever legend to be introduced after Apex Legends’ release. He’s speedy, agile, and maneuverable. As the heir-of-a-pharmaceutical-mogul-turned-daredevil, he attempted to break the record on a gauntlet run, with disastrous results. 24 hours after his legs got blown off, he wakes with new prosthetic ones. After that, he promptly resumes his thrill-seeking ways and turns to the Apex Games for his adrenaline fix.
So here’s all you need to know about him to level up your Apex Legends account.
His Skills
They revolve around his evasiveness and wide range of movements. His passive, Swift Mend, allows for speedy health regeneration, as long as he’s not taking damage. Combine that with his tactical skill, Stim, which eats up 10% of his health in exchange for a 30% boost in speed. It only lasts 6 seconds, but that should be enough to get you out of otherwise sticky situations.
Lastly, for his Ultimate, he deploys a Launch Pad. While that doesn’t seem as impressive as say, deploying decoys or a poison grenade, you can add verticality to otherwise horizontal fights. It also allows for more movement options such as scaling walls or barriers. There’s also the option to use it for regrouping or repositioning your squad. Some players have even found a creative use for it by bouncing enemies out of their cover!
Some Tips
True to his adrenaline junkie nature, his skills have far lower cooldowns than other hero skills. That means you can spam Stim as long as you have the health for it. Swift Mend is a bit slow, but it would only take five seconds to regenerate the 10% taken by the tactical skill. The passive isn’t meant to be relied upon to get you back into fighting shape after a skirmish. It’s for offsetting the health requirement of Stim.
That being said, don’t be afraid of spamming that skill to the max. Running at 130% speed is more beneficial than always being at maximum health. You’d be trying to recharge shields and repairing armor a few minutes into the game anyway. Also, practice hitting things on target while moving. You don’t play Octane to just stand around. It’s a critical mistake to run toward a firefight as him only to stand as still as a statue as you to try to shoot opponents.
As for your LaunchPad, keep in mind that it persists after you set one up. If you used it to escape, you can be sure that your opponent will follow you. That aside, did you know that if you jump before touching the pad you’ll bounce about 30% higher than usual? Now you know!
The pad also has some other curious effects when mixed with Wraith‘s portals and even grenades. Oddly, players end up a short distance from the portal if the skill was deployed under one. For the latter, if you angle your throw right, your grenade will fly further than usual. Lastly, take note that the LaunchPad has a slim hitbox. Be careful where you throw them!
Go and Practice
Octane’s strength is his mobility, so make use of it to flank opponents. At any rate, you’re not going to be some instant expert unless you’re some kind of gaming genius. Don’t be discouraged if you lose a bunch. You just need more practice, that’s all.
So has your interest in Octane been piqued yet? There are many options to choose from to get an account. If you do go take the ‘buy one’ option, please consider using an Apex account calculator. It’ll make the selection process a breeze, and you can get the most value for your money.
Go forth and enjoy the adrenaline rush in Apex Legends!
APEX LEGENDS HEALING AND SHIELD ITEM GUIDE

Do you keep using the wrong healing and shield items so much so that you tend to accidentally waste them just to gain a mere 20 health points? In a nutshell, healing and shield items in Apex Legends aren’t any different than in most games. You have a lot of standard healing items to recover your health, but the shield system takes a bit of getting used to. You’ll need to find armor, and the armor determines your maximum shield amount. This armor can be reduced if you’re shot, but you can recharge it by collecting the various cells and batteries you can find in the game.
Healing Items
The healing items present themselves more commonly and straightforwardly than you can imagine. Ultimately, their function is either to cure a small amount of health, half health, or the whole health. They can also be used to repair a specific part of the armor or shield that you have in your possession.
Here are the healing items you can find all across the map of Apex Legends:
- Syringe
The Syringe heals 25 Health and has a 5-second use time. This is the most basic bandage style of healing but altogether heals for only a small amount of your health.
- Med Kit
The Med Kit heals 100 Health and has an 8-second use time. This is your standard big healing item that restores all of your health.
- Phoenix Kit
The Phoenix Kit heals 100 Health and 100 Shields; it has a 10-second use time. Out of all the healing items here, this is the rarest item by far with an epic rarity because it allows you to restore both your health and shield completely.
- Shield Cell
The Shield Cell restores 25 Shields and has a 5-second use time. This gives a lower and slower level recharge of the shields, think of it as a mini-shield in Fortnite. Although comes to the minis in Fortnite, the difference with this is that you can fully recharge your shields and you aren’t limited to just 50 Shields.
- Shield Battery
The Shield Battery restores 100 Shields and has a 5-second use time. This is considered to be the “big boy”. The Shield Battery allows you to fully recharge the maximum shield capacity in your possession, getting you ready for battle.
- Ultimate Accelerant
The Ultimate Accelerant restores 20% of your Ultimate energy and has a 7-second use time. This will boost your ultimate energy up and will allow you to use your ultimate ability quicker.
Shield Items
Shields, as in any other game, reduce damage and provide more protective cells to absorb bullet damage. The rarity of the Shield items goes from Common to Legendary. Naturally, as the rarity increases, the defense also increases.
Here are the Shield items you can find in the game you should take note of:
- Body Shield
The Body Shield absorbs from 50 up to 100 damage points depending on the rarity. This is a normal bulletproof vest that allows you to reduce damage from close and ranged attacks.
- Helmet
The Helmet provides from minor to maximum headshot damage reduction. The Helmet is a classic shield item to wear in order to prevent a sniper from sniping you from behind without you being aware of it.
- Knockdown Shield
The Knockdown Shield can absorb from 100 to 750 damage points. This shield can only be used if your health has been reduced to zero. You can expose this shield and direct it towards the incoming fire to protect yourself to give your team a chance to defend or revive you and eliminate the other team.
Overall
That’s all you need to know about the healing and shield items in the game! Always remember that to avoid dying in battle, you will not only need guns, rifles, machine guns, and special abilities, but also health and shield items to get the number one spot.
